Free PDF OCR software until 4/2 11:59PST

Everyone I talk to now and then has a use for OCR files. I'm assuming that its a scanning thing on the computer.I've been asked a couple of times if I can convert the files. Most of the time I say no, because even a computer guy like me does have his limitations.

So I'll let the developers description explain:

"PDF OCR is based on OCR technology to convert scanned PDF paper books and documents into editable electronic text files fast and easily. PDF OCR has a build-in text editor which allows you to edit ocr result text without MS Word.

PDF OCR also supports batch mode to OCR all pages of pdf file to text at a time. PDF OCR has a Scanned Image To PDF Converter, which means you can create your own scanned PDF books."

Okay, I'm not sure if I would use this , but as I said there is a need for OCR software out there... and this is available for free. I'd like to know how all of you would use this software. The interface is very very basic. When you open the zip file , you are presented with a readme.txt file, and a setup.exe file

Inside the Read-Me, it shows you the serial number which I can't post here publicly for legal reasons, it is required to turn the software into a full version.

I took a few screen-shots of this program so you can see its interface.

You can download and install this software until 11:59pst which a new product will be given away.
