Okay, I've seen quite a few entries into the world of security that sometimes annoys me because of the features it enables on default or its hard to turn off those features. One thing that annoyed me of the latest version of Avast was its sandboxing feature. It flagged quite a few safe downloads as unknown, and automatically from the open box, it sandboxed my installation making me have to install the program again under accepted conditions I had to manually program into the client.
I just want something simple I can use that does all the powerful features of a Firewall and Antivirus without the hassle of optional components.
I found the latest offering of Zone Alarm Security suite, and now, along with their firewall the include antivirus for the first time! Installing the program took a little bit of time, about 10 minutes to get setup with the options I wanted, but once that was completed it sat in the background and actively protected my computer in real time. One big thing that this security suite claims it will do is protect your computer from threats where a piece of malware tries to bypass your security software altogether.
Process wise I did not notice anything out of the ordinary , however I did choose the optional toolbar, it functions in a similar manner such as Norton Safe Web and Mcafee Site Advisor.
So far I like this security software ever since using it, it has not annoyed me with popups to configure something or try to nag me constantly telling me there is a better paid version of the program. It does, in its interface contain minimal social media interaction only for the sole purpose of sharing with friends to let them know about the product .
You can download the product from here : http://www.zonealarm.com/security/en-us/zonealarm-pc-security-free-firewall.htm
Little Bear's World Of Freebies wholly approves of this download, its their best entry into the free firewall market, and the Antivirus market too.
